AllwynneMCDONALD(known to many as Mrs Greenwood) September 29, 1929 - July 16, 2017 Allwynne passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday July 16th, 2017, aged 87. She was the owner of Greenwoods Pawnbroker and Jeweller and a resident of Nunthorpe She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Rose Greenwood, and her brother John Greenwood. She is survived by her husband John and sons Andrew and Christopher and her daughter Rosemary. Allwynne was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Andrew, Cheyne, Christopher, Danielle, David, Helen and Steven and great grandchildren, Gabriella, Meadow, Sophia and Toby. She will be greatly missed. The family requests that friends consider donations to THE CLEVELAND UNIT in lieu of flowers. It is based at James Cook Hospital and it is a nursery/assessment centre for children aged between 2 & 4 years with all types of disabilities. They give support to both the children and parents in sometimes very trying and difficult circumstances. Funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Church Lane, Nunthorpe, on Wednesday 26th July at 12:30pm A cremation, for close family and friends only, will follow at St Hilda's Chapel Acklam at 1:15pm.
